Kusunda

Kusunda is an interactive, voice-guided virtual reality experience that highlights the threat to indigenous languages, such as Kusunda in Nepal. It explores why a language "goes to sleep" and what it takes to revive it. Throughout the experience, the audience will have to learn a few words of the language in order to progress.

The story is carried by its co-creator and co-creatress - shaman Lil Bahadur and his granddaughter Hima - and contrasts two generations separated by their lifestyles, but united in their struggle to preserve their native identity.
