The association

The non-profit association "Festival international du film d'archéologie de Nyon" (FIFAN) was created in November 2014. Its statutory purpose is the organization, development and promotion of the Nyon International Archaeology Film Festival. It works towards this goal in collaboration with the Roman Museum of Nyon, which is its founder and main partner.
Its committee, currently made up of nine members, contributes in particular to fund-raising for the event. The person in charge of festival management has an advisory vote.
The Roman Museum of Nyon created the Nyon International Archaeological Film Festival in 1999. For almost 30 years, it has organized this free biennial event, with the aim of broadening its audience and offering access to the rich production of archaeological films.
After eight successful editions, the Roman Museum wanted to clarify and facilitate the operation of the festival, without losing the close and historic link that unites them. In 2014, the association was created as a structure specifically dedicated to the organization of the festival, and endowed with resources intended for its management and development.
