Napoleon on St. Helena, the final act

May 5, 1821, Napoleon Bonaparte died after 5 years of exile on the island of Saint Helena. 200 years later, Philippe Charlier leads a unique investigation into the Emperor's last moments. The paleopathologist conducts an archaeological and scientific investigation on the island of Saint Helena. He studies a number of the Emperor's "relics" - his shirt, bandages and biological remains - in order to write Napoleon's medical diary. Finally, he carried out a comparative study of the Emperor's numerous death masks, in an attempt to reconstruct his last face.
