The guardians of Menjez's past - Lebanon's megaliths revealed

Focusing on the impressive megalithic tombs of northern Lebanon in the Menjez region, the "MEG-A" project (co-directed by Dr. Tara Steimer of the University of Geneva) explores the origins of the builders, their emergence in the 4th century and their role in the history of the region.^e and 3^e millennium BC, and the role of sponsors in the formation of Levantine city-states. This documentary immerses us in this archaeological adventure, filming the passionate scientists exploring these mysterious megaliths, and the Menjez inhabitants who play a key role, sharing their vision of the site and helping to preserve its heritage. The scientific project goes beyond archaeology, as it embodies a local effort to preserve these necropolises and promote tourism around these precious relics of the past.
