Produced by the ARCAN laboratory in collaboration with the Damascus Museum and the Franco-Syrian Archaeological Mission El Kowm-Mureybet, this documentary presents the prehistory of the Levant, in the El Kowm region, in the heart of the Syrian steppe, dating back 1.8 million years. Several scenes recreate the environment and human activities of the Palaeolithic, Epipaleolithic and Neolithic periods, faithfully based on scientific data. This journey through time illustrates both the archaeological artefacts and the flora and fauna that ensured the subsistence and longevity of human groups in this arid environment of Central Syria.
