We are pleased to announce that the program for the 14ᵉ edition of the Festival international du film d'archéologie de Nyon (FIFAN) is available online.
The festival was held from September 2 to 7, 2025 at the’Gas Plant in Nyon. Free of charge and open to all, FIFAN is aimed at professionals in the sector, archaeology enthusiasts and a broad public interested in discovering our heritage in a new way.
A rich and committed program
This latest edition featured some thirty films in competitionfrom all over the world, to explore recent advances in archaeological research and the many forms of storytelling about the past.
FIFAN aims to be a place for sharing information and reflecting on our relationship with traces of the past, by bringing together researchers, filmmakers, students, enthusiasts and the curious.
New for 2025: an immersive section
This year's festival inaugurated a section dedicated to immersive experiences in augmented, virtual and extended reality. These innovative formats enable visitors to relive vanished sites, visit inaccessible places and immerse themselves in archaeological stories in an interactive way.

Access to immersive experiences is free, but requires online registration.
Meetings throughout the week
FIFAN also offers conferences and meetings with filmmakers and researchers, to encourage exchanges between disciplines and with the public.
SuperFIFAN: a day for families
The closing day, Sunday, September 7, was dedicated to families at the Roman Museum in Nyon. Visit SuperFIFAN offered screenings for the very young, followed by animations and discussions adapted to all ages, in a playful and participative approach.
